Those assumptions rarely fit every role or context. Yet once they’re translated into a score, like 87 out of 100, for example, the discussion in the room changes. Instead of debating criteria, teams start debating whether 87 is high enough.

The number reframes the decision.

The system may not technically make the choice. But it shapes it.
